Commercial Emergency Drainage Callout
The Queen’s Medical Centre is a teaching hospital situated in Nottingham, England. We were contacted by Avon Water Services to attend a Commercial Emergency Drainage Callout. A main underground water pipe had burst at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham, causing floods in the carpark, roadway and grass areas along the front of the Hospital, as well as a lack of water supply for the hospital. The pipe that had burst was in a difficult position close to Gas mains, Electric mains and Data cables. Once the electric supply was switched off, LDW Group used the Engcon Tiltrotator attachment to carefully manoeuvre in the opening between the cables and pipes and excavate until the burst main was discovered. We then exposed the remaining area of the pipe using insulated hand tools and fitted a new connection to repair the burst pipe. We were able to have the QMC successfully up and running within 8 hours of arriving on site.
